About the Role

Responsibilities: Plan and organize production schedule. Assesses production schedule against raw material availability and expected delivery. Enforce quality control standards. Plan the production line for the day. Organise the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment. Supervise and coordinate the bagging section, to ensure the tasks are undertaken effectively. Supervise and coordinate the intake/raw material section to ensure tasks are undertaken effectively. Supervise the stacking of feeds in their respective stack areas. Supervise the general cleanliness of the feed mill and general working environment. Supervise and coordinate the premix section and update them of the next production line. Ensure proper stock and inventory management. Liaise with soy processing department to ensure requirements are supplied. Endeavour to optimize mill capacity. Support the stock management process. Ensure staff members with stock management roles are working effectively and adequately supported and required functions happen on time. Equipment maintenance Organising repair and routine maintenance of production equipment in liaison with mechanical department and Production Manager Ensure preventative maintenance program is followed. Staff Management Supervise subordinates in an encouraging and supportive way while maintaining discipline. Ensure mentorship of all roles in your department is happening to ensure fully functional staff in each position. Reporting Preparation of reports in relation to the feed mill Any other duties as assigned by line manager.

Requirements

Minimum A - Levels Certificate in Feed milling technology an added advantage Minimum of 3-4years of experience in similar roles in a busy commercial setting Supervisory skills Knowledge of GMPs and GHPs Basic HACCP knowledge and health and safety practices Knowledge of feed mill technology Ability to plan and coordinate production activities.
