About the Role
Job Summary
Our client, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company in Kampala, is seeking a reliable and motivated Tuk Tuk Sales Drivers to support product distribution and sales operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving a company-provided tuk-tuk to deliver goods to retailers, promote sales, and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring timely and efficient product distribution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Drive a tuk-tuk to distribute FMCG products to retail outlets, markets, and vendors within assigned routes.
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products while maintaining proper inventory records.
Actively promote sales by engaging with customers, upselling products, and securing new orders.
Build and maintain positive relationships with retailers and customers.
Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide product information.
Collect market feedback and report to the sales team.
Conduct daily checks on the tuk-tuk to ensure it is in good working condition.
Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and ensure proper handling of goods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tuk-tuk and products.
Submit daily sales and delivery reports to the supervisor.
Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Handle cash transactions responsibly and submit accurate records.
Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
Valid driving permit/license for tuk-tuks or motorcycles.
Minimum of 1 year experience in sales, delivery, or FMCG distribution.
Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
Familiarity with Kampala routes and market areas is a plus
